Home remedies you need to try next time you are dealing with a toothache:

Clove Oil

Clove oil is an old and popular remedy. What makes it very special is the chemical eugenol in the oil, which includes anesthetic and antibacterial properties.

If you want to use this oil for toothache, soak a cotton ball in a mixture made from 2-3 drops of clove oil and ¼ teaspoon of olive oil. Place the cotton ball inside your mouth near the aching tooth and bite down to keep it in place. It is important not to sleep with the cotton in your mouth.

You can find clove oil in pharmacies and health food stores.

Cough Drops

Cough drops or lozenges often include a small amount of anesthetic. This means that they can help you get rid of minor tooth pain as well. Take one or two cough drops and suck on them, don’t chew.

Another option is to apply Vick’s VapoRub on the outside of your cheek where your tooth aches, then place a paper towel on your pillow and lie down on that side.

Rinse It Off

Food that is trapped between your teeth can be the cause of your toothache. So, you may try flossing, rinsing with mouthwash, or using interdental brushes.

Tea Bags

Apply a hot tea directly to the tooth. Tea bags include tannic acid, which lowers swelling.

Cucumber

Place a cucumber slice on the tooth or soak a cotton ball in brandy. Alcohol also has many helpful properties, such as numbing the painful area. Also, many people say garlic, onions, spinach, wheat grass, or salt water rinse relieves tooth pain.

Natural Remedies that Can Help You Get Rid of a Toothache:

Oregano oil. It can be used both topically and internally;
Colloidal silver. It can be used locally, internal and for rinsing;
Warm salt water for rinsing;
Wild oregano oil.

Use:

Put a few drops of this oil under the tongue and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, rinse with colloidal silver. Spit it and then additionally swallow little bit of the silver, up to 250 ml daily. Several minutes later, rub the oregano oil in the area around the gums. Between washing with colloidal silver also rinse your mouth with warm salt water and still massage oil oregano on the gums.

Repeat this method every hour throughout the day.

Additional Natural Remedies for Toothache:

Ginger Root

Remove the bark of the ginger and cut it on pieces. Place them on the top of the painful tooth and bite it. The pain will gradually decrease. Keep the remaining ginger pieces in the fridge and repeat the procedure.

Black Cumin Oil

Prepare a mixture of half a teaspoon of vinegar and a teaspoon of black cumin oil. Heat the mixture and leave it to cool off. Use it to rinse and prevent inflammations and infections in your mouth.

Essential Clove Oil

Eugenol, the aromatic chemical from the clove eliminates bacteria and eases pain. Soak a cotton ball in the oil and apply it over the inflamed tooth. Repeat the procedure when needed.

Compresses

If you want to eliminate intolerable pain, use cold compresses or other cold stuff. Place the cold compress on the outside of the painful area to relieve the ache.

Note: Visit your dentist immediately if the toothache continues.
