The symptoms of cold and flu are very similar, typically including sneezing, coughing, and muscle pain. The difference between cold and flu is mainly in their duration, the first making you feel bad for a few days while the latter may last up to a week and more. Runny nose, cough, and congestion are the major symptoms of cold, while flu is typically manifested by sore throat, fever, headache, muscle aches and soreness, congestion, and cough.
The thing that they have in common is that their symptoms blend together to create a real mess! Although kids find it amusing to stay at home, enjoy a warm soup, and sit in front of the TV, adults have trouble going through cold or flu, as they are forced to stay and home and postpone their day-to-day activities. Simply put, adults don’t have the time to deal with these symptoms!
